Our firm was established in 2014 under the name and style of Messrs Syahidah & Partners. In 2017, the firm was renamed to what is now known as AmirFaliq & Syahidah.

Our firm’s clients includes multinational private individuals and corporations, private equity, state government agencies and state government-linked companies and their subsidiaries and private
clients.

Our firm have also maintained all our bank accounts and confirmed by our bankers. Our firm would ensure that all matters assigned to the firm are completed in due time. Amirfaliq Bin Mohamad Jamil
Managing Partner 

Encik Amir Faliq Bin Mohamad Jamil was called to the Malaysian Bar on the 9th April 2010 with an LL.B. (Hons.) degree from the University Utara Malaysia (UUM). 

Encik Amir has completed his nine (9) months of chambering with Messrs. Bachan & Kartar, Ipoh under the supervision of Mr. Gurbachan Singh a/l Bagawan Singh.

Encik Amir has joined as a Legal Associate with Messrs. Bachan & Kartar, Ipoh, Messrs S. Ravichandran & Anuar, Ipoh, Legal Associates & subsequently partner of Messrs Nurul & Charan, Ipoh.

Encik Amir joined Messrs. Syahidah & Partners in 2016 and subsequently in 2017 appointed as Managing Partner in the firm which was also renamed to what is now known as AmirFaliq & Syahidah.

Encik Amir is also currently lecturing in University Utara Malaysia (UUM) where he teaches jurisprudence and civil procedure for final year LLB students.

Encik Amir has acquired a great deal of experience in matters entrusted to him in all criminal litigation and civil litigation.

Siti Nor Syahidah Binti Ismail
Partner

Puan Siti Nor Syahidah Binti Ismail was called to the Malaysian Bar on the 20th May 2011 with an LL.B. (Hons.) degree from the University of Technology (UiTM) Shah Alam.

Puan Syahidah has completed her nine (9) months of chambering with Messrs. Ellan & Co., Ipoh under the supervision of Mr. T. Ellanggovan a/l Thambiraju.

Puan Syahidah has joined as a Legal Associate with K.S. SU & Mah ,Ipoh from 2011 to 2014.

In October 2014, Puan Syahidah proceeded to set up her own practice under the name and style of Messrs. Syahidah & Partners. In 2017, the firm was renamed to what is now known as AmirFaliq & Syahidah.

Puan Syahidah has acquired a great deal of experience in matters entrusted to her in all civil litigation matters, including; tort, running down (accident) cases, personal injury, and also non-Muslim matrimonial and family matters.

Izyan Binti Ithnain @ Senin
Partner

Puan Izyan Binti Ithnain @ Senin was called to the Malaysian Bar on the 20th May 2011 with an LL.B. (Hons.) degree from the University of Technology  (UiTM) Shah Alam.

Puan Izyan completed her nine (9) months of chambering with Messrs. Norali & Co. Ipoh, under the supervision of Encik Norali Bin Nordin.

Puan Izyan has joined as a Legal Associate with Norali & Co. Ipoh, Messrs. Mohd Anuar & Co. , Prai and Messrs. Ezrilaw Firm, Prai.

Puan Izyan joined as a Partner of Messrs. AmirFaliq & Syahidah in March 2022.

Puan Izyan has acquired a great deal of experience in matters entrusted to her in conveyancing matters such as sub sale cases, retail housing loan (Conventional and Islamic finance), transfers, and land-related matters. She also deals with a corporate-commercial matters on drafting a joint venture agreement, shareholder agreement and any agreement related to it.

Afina Binti Abdul Hakim
Legal Associate

Puan Afina Binti Abdul Hakim was called to the Malaysian Bar on the 14th January 2021 with an LL.B. (Hons.) degree from the University of Technology  (UiTM) Shah Alam and she has also obtained a DLSA diploma from the University of Technology  (UiTM) Shah Alam.

Puan Afina has completed her nine (9) months of chambering with Messrs. Maxwell Kenion Cowdy & Jones, Ipoh  under the supervision of Encik Mohamad Nizam Bin Mohamed Salleh.

In November 2021, Puan Afina joined AmirFaliq & Syahidah as a Legal Associate.

Puan Afina handles in all criminal litigation and civil litigation’s matter.

Puan Afina mainly specialised in debt recovery process and execution of judgement.

Syamil Haidhar Bin Abdul Jalil Alwi

Encik Syamil Haidhar Bin Abdul Jalil Alwi was called to the Malaysian Bar on the 15th March 2019 with an LL.B. (Hons.) degree from the University Utara Malaysia (UUM). 

Encik Syamil has completed his nine (9) months of chambering with Messrs. Mustafa Ghazali & Associates, Taiping under the supervision of Encik Mustafa Bin Ghazali.

Encil Syamil has joined as a Legal Associate with Mustafa Ghazali & Associates, Taiping.

In October 2022, Encik Syamil joined as a Legal Associate with Messrs. AmirFaliq & Syahidah.

Encik Syamil handles in all criminal litigation and civil litigation’s matter.

Encik Syamil also handles matter relating to succession matters and administration of estate including application for grant of probate/letter of administration (LA).

Debt Recovery

(a) Providing legal advice and litigation services in relation to debt recovery and execution of judgment debts.

(b) Conduct a simple background search against the debtor. The search includes official company search, individual address search, physical visit inspection, insolvency sea rch, credit search etc. to access whether it is economical to proceed with the next course of action. 

(c) Provides credit control services such as issuing letters of demand before legal action, company’s background search service, credit reports and status reports.

  • Instituting demands/claims.
  • Conducting recovery proceedings.
  • Representation in litigation and appellate proceedings.

Defamation

  • Advising clients.
  • Legal representation in Sessions Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.

Land Disputes

  • Advising client in enforcing and/or securing their rights and interests in a land dispute.
  • Action to recover ownership and possession of lands.
  • Defending the title of a 3rd party bona fide subsequent purchaser of lands.

Intellectual Property and Information Technology

(a) Protection of intellectual property

  • Perform searches for prior intellectual property rights.
  • Advise clients on the best methods of protecting their intellectual property.

(b) Contentious intellectual property and information technology matters.
– Represent clients for the following cases:

  • Trade mark infringement and passing off
  • Copyright infringement cases including software infringement
  • Patent infringement or invalidation industrial designs infringement or invalidation
  • Declaration of non infringement of intellectual property rights
  • breach of confidentiality or breach of fiduciary cases

– Represent clients against action by right management associations such as Business Software Alliance.

– Obtain and execute Trade Description Orders Obtain and execute Anton Piller Orders.

(c) Computer contracts
– Draft, negotiate and/or review development, maintenance and/or licensing agreements.
– Prepare terms and conditions of use Prepare Escrow agreements and providing escrow services.

Industrial Relations & Employment Laws

(a) Employment Contracts

  • Draft, negotiate and/or review employment contracts for all levels of employment in an organization.
  • Advise clients on legality of certain clause(s) in employment contracts.

(b) Disciplinary Process/Internal Grievances Procedure

  • Advise clients on disciplinary process that ought to be observed under the labour law in Malaysia.
  • Draft and/or review show cause letter, letter of suspension, notice of domestic inquiry and letter of dismissal.

(c) Contentious Matters involving Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations laws

  • Legal representation in Labour Court, Industrial Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.

  • Advising and assisting clients on the perfection of charge and the perfection of title relating to real property.
  • Introduction of client to Bank/Finance Institutions for loan purposes.
  • Drafting of sale and purchase agreements of Properties and Housing / Commercial Development to prospective purchaser.
  • Advising and drafting of deeds of assignment, powers of attorney and deeds of mutual covenant.
  • Assisting clients with land title, bankruptcy and insolvency searches relating to real property transactions.
  • Every aspect of property development including planning, environment, construction and taxation issues in Malaysia.
  • The entire range of landlord and tenant matters which ranges from the creation and disposal of leasehold interests in residential and commercial properties to ongoing management of property matter.
